Creating Surveys
You can use Express Email Marketing to create a survey, using a variety of question formats, such as lists, text entries, and numeric. With surveys, you can receive direct input from your site visitors and Express Email Marketing subscribers including feedback about your Web site or existing products and services, opinions about possible future offerings, or visitor/subscriber demographics.
To Create a Survey
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Express Email Marketing.
- On the Express Email Marketing page, click Open Express Email Marketing for the account you want to modify.
- Click Survey Builder, and then click Compose Survey.
- To create a new survey, select Compose blank survey.
- To create a copy of an existing survey, select Compose from a Copy of, and then select the survey from the list.
- Click Next.
- Complete the following:
- Survey Name
- Enter the name you want for your survey.
- Survey Title
- Enter the title you want for your survey.
- Image
- Specify the image you want for your survey. Enter the full URL where the image is located, or click Select to select an image from the Image Gallery.
- Image Title Layout
- Select the relative positions of your title and image, which is where you want the image in relation to the title.
- Select Font
- Select the font used for your survey. The image preview changes to reflect your choice.
- Background
- Specify the background color for your survey by clicking the color square, selecting your new background color, and clicking OK.
- Foreground
- Specify the color for the survey's foreground by clicking the color square, selecting your new foreground color, and clicking OK.
- Survey Return Link URL
- Enter the destination URL for those who complete the survey. Enter the full URL for the link on the survey.
- Survey Return Link Text
- Enter the text to display in place of the Web site address (for example, Click for Details).
- Survey Completion Text
- Enter the text visitors read after completing your survey.
- Click Next.
- To add questions to your survey, click Add New Question.
- Select the type of question you want to include.
- Enter the question you want to include.
- Depending on the question format, if necessary, complete the pertinent information.
- Click Next.
- To publish the survey and create a hyperlink to the survey, click Publish Survey.
