Backordering Domains from Investor's Edge
You can place backorders on domains you find on Investor's Edge, and we'll attempt to acquire the domain for you if it becomes available.
To Place a Backorder on a Domain Through Investor's Edge
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Domain Manager.
- From the Buy/Sell menu, select Investor's Edge.
- Select the checkbox(es) for the domain(s) on which you want to place a backorder, and then click Backorder.
- Select one of the following, and then click Next:
- Public
- Places a public backorder on the domain. If the domain becomes available, we will attempt to register it for you
- Private
- Places a private backorder on the domain. If the domain becomes available, we attempt to privately register it for you.
- If necessary, edit or add email address(es) to which you want to send notifications, and then click Next.
- If necessary, edit the contact information to use if the backordered domain becomes available, and then click Next.
- From the Number of credits to use list, select the number of credits you want to apply, and then click Next.
NOTE: The number of credits in the list are the credits you have available for the transaction. If you do not have enough credits, you continue to your shopping cart to complete a domain backordering purchase. If you have not purchased a backorder, we add it to your cart. To complete setting up your domain backorder, continue through the checkout process.
- If you selected expired domains, select one of the following options for placing bids on them, and then click Next:
- Do not bid
- Does not place a bid on the expired domains you selected.
- Place same bid on all domains
- Allows you to specify the bid amount to place on the expired domains you selected.
- Enter a separate bid for each domain
- Allows you to enter a separate bid for each of the expired domains you selected. Enter bids in the Maximum Bid column.
- Continue through the checkout process.
