Monitoring the Status of Your Project
The Design Manager is a convenient way to monitor the status of your project.
To Monitor the Status of Your Project
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- From My Products, select
Custom Web Site Design, .or Logo Design - Click Launch next to the account you want to use.
- A list displays if you have multiple accounts. If necessary, select the account you want to use.
The current status of your project displays in the Timeline. The steps in the Timeline that require action on your part, are displayed on the top half of the Timeline (in orange). The steps in the Timeline that require action on the part of the design specialist are displayed on the bottom half of the Timeline (in blue).
The possible stages of your project are:
- Contact
- Your design specialist is trying to contact you to set up an interview and begin the design process. Your Web site or logo design does not begin until an interview is completed.
- Interview Scheduled
- Displays the time of your scheduled interview. For more information about what to expect during the interview, see How should I prepare for the interview?.
- Ready for Content
- The design specialist is ready for your content. Your design specialist cannot begin designing your site until you send the necessary content. This includes text, images, and any other relevant information. For logos, you can send images and ideas. For more information about sending files, see How do I send files to the design specialist?.
- In Progress
- Your design specialist is building your site, template, or logo.
- Review Your Site
- Review your site and provide feedback by clicking Feedback. After you have entered your feedback, and you have nothing more to add, click Approve. Your comments are sent to the design specialist. The process cannot continue until you provide feedback.
- Review Layout
- Review your custom layout and provide feedback by clicking Feedback. After you have entered your feedback, and you have nothing more to add, click Approve. Your comments will be sent to your design specialist. The process cannot continue until you provide feedback.
- Making Revisions
- Your design specialist is making revisions based on your feedback.
- Review Revisions
- Review the revisions made based on your prior feedback and provide current comments by clicking Feedback. After you have entered your feedback, and you have nothing more to add, click Approve. Your comments are sent to the designer. The process cannot continue until you provide feedback.
- Quality Review
- Your site is being reviewed for quality. Your site is tested in different browsers to ensure that your site meets quality standards.
- Publish
- Once your site has passed our rigorous quality review, we will publish it for you unless you have sent us a message through the Design Manager that you would prefer to publish it yourself. For more information about publishing your site, see How do I publish my site?.
- Complete
- Congratulations! The process is complete.
The Timeline in the Design Manager is completely interactive. It allows you to stay informed and communicate with your designer.
