Completing a Change Form for Moving Domains
If you can't log into your account or don't have access to the account your domain is in, you can complete a Request for Change of Account/Email Update Form to move the domain to another account. You need to complete the change form and provide identification to allow us to either move the domain or update the email address listed in the account, as follows:
- Change form. Complete the change request form, sign it, and submit it. We recommend you scan the form and send it to us as an attachment through email.
- Photo ID. To ensure security, provide us with a government-issued photo identification, such as a driver's license or passport.
- Business ID. If the domain information includes a business on the customer account or as the domain registrant, you must submit current and valid business identification. We do not accept hyperlinks or documentation printed from the internet.
You can send the signed form and additional information to us by email at change@secureserver.net or by fax at 480.624.2547.
After we receive your information, it takes up to three business days for an initial response. We either inform you of what we need to process the request or let you know that your request was completed. We only send correspondence to the email address you listed on the change form.
To Complete a Change Form for Moving Domains
- Go to Request for Change of Account/Email Update Form.
- Complete the following information:
- Domain Name
- The domain(s) you want to move or the domain(s) in the account for which you want to update the email address.
- Registrant First Name
- The registrant's first name.
- Registrant Last Name
- The registrant's last name.
- Company Name
- The company name listed as registrant or on the account, if any.
- By checking this box you certify that the Company Name specified above is the legal registrant of this domain name
- If you entered a company name, specify that the company is the domain's legal registrant.
- Your First Name
- Your first name.
- Your Last Name
- Your last name.
- A Valid E-mail Address
- The email address you want us to use. We send correspondence to the email address you list. The email address you supply must not be associated with the domain for which you are submitting a change request form.
- Phone Number
- Your phone number.
- First Name on Account
- The first name of the person who is listed on the current account, if known.
- Last Name on Account
- The last name of the person who is listed on the current account, if known.
- Login Name
- The login name for the account, if known.
- Customer Number
- The customer number for the account, if known.
- Additional information
- Information that may help us process your request.
- In the Access Code field, enter the code that displays above the field.
- Click Continue.
- Physically sign the form, scan it, and email it to change@secureserver.net, along with the required forms of identification.
