What kinds of Web Sites can you build?
Our professional designers use a Web site creation and editing tool to build your Web site. After your web site is published, you will have access to the same tool, so you can edit your content.
Your custom Web site will be based around a specified page layout. This means that every page on your Web site will have the same header, main navigation, background, colors and fonts. This ensures a consistent look throughout your site. Each page will have a different page title and content.
Our web site editing tool supports the following functionality:
- Creation and editing of informational pages
- Custom Forms (such as Contact Us forms)
- Forums
- Photo and Image Galleries
- RSS feeds
- Flash Intros
- Video & Music
- Password-protected pages
Our Web Sites are designed to be user-friendly and manageable. As a result, it is important to note the following:
- We support one level of main menu navigation. If you need sub-navigation, we can accomplish this in some cases by adding additional links to secondary pages. We don't support fly-out submenu navigation.
- We don't build custom Flash elements. You can choose from one of our existing Flash intros and we will customize it with your content.
- We don't support membership sites or sites that need multiple logins.
- Information collected on your custom web site forms is transmitted to you via email. For this reason, we don't build forms to collect sensitive information that would require encryption, such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, or medical information. Form information is not collected in a database. However, having forms submitted to you through email is a quick and convenient way to establish contact with those visiting your site.
- We don't build custom shopping carts. We can add PayPal buttons to your Custom Web Site. You can discuss e-commerce options with your Design Specialist.
- Currently, we do not build database driven sites. Often database driven sites are used to allow the user to change the content that displays on a page, such as images and descriptions. Many e-commerce sites use databases to allow you to browse through a large catalog of products, without leaving the page you are on.
- At this time, we do not incorporate search functionality within the Web sites we build. An example of search functionality would be a real estate Web site that allowed visitors to search for properties within a database.
