Restoring a MySQL Database
Using the Hosting Control Center, you can back up and restore MySQL databases as often as you would like. However, you can only initiate a restore after any previous backup or restore request has completed.
To Restore a MySQL Database
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting.
- Click Manage Account next to the hosting account you want to modify.
- In the Databases section of the Hosting Control Center, click the MySQL icon.
- Click the pencil icon next to the database you would like to restore to open its edit features.
- Click the Restore icon in the menu bar.
- Select the back-up file you want to restore by clicking the radio button next to the back-up file name.
- Click Restore.
Your selected back-up file will be restored. You may check on the status of the restore progress from the MySQL database information screen in the Hosting Control Center at any time.
NOTE: Using an FTP client, you can upload any MySQL back-up file you've created. Once you upload the file into the _db_backups folder on the root level of your hosting account, it appears in your available files to restore.
