Managing Blacklists
In Quick Blogcast, you can add URLs to your blacklist so that you block comments from a specific URL.
To Add a URL to your Blacklist
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
- Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
- From the Manage Blog list, click Blacklist.
- Click the Add Blacklist Entry button.
- From the Type list, select URL.
- In the Entry field, type the URL you want to add to your blacklist.
- In the Reason field, type a reason for adding the URL to your blacklist.
- Click Save.
To Add an Email Address to your Blacklist
You can add email addresses to your blacklist so that you block comments from a specific email address.
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
- Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
- From the Manage Blog list, click Blacklist.
- Click the Add Blacklist Entry button.
- From the Type list, select Email Address.
- In the Entry field, type the email address.
- In the Reason field, type a reason for adding the email address to your blacklist.
- Click Save.
To Add a Keyword to your Blacklist
You can add keywords to your blacklist so that you block comments that include the word in the URL, comment body, or email address from being posted on your blog.
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
- Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
- From the Manage Blog list, click Blacklist.
- Click the Add Blacklist Entry button.
- From the Type list, select Keyword.
- In the Entry field, type the word you want to add to your blacklist.
- In the Reason field, type a reason for adding the word to your blacklist.
- Click Save.
To Unban an IP Address from Your Blacklist
When you unban an IP address or remove the IP address from your blacklist, you are allowing visitors connecting to the internet through that IP to leave comments on your entries.
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
- Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
- Select Blacklist from the Manage Blog menu. The Manage Blacklists page opens.
- In the list, select the checkbox(es) of the IP Address(es) that you want to unban.
- Click the Unban this IP address button. The Unban this IP address button is located in the Actions column.
